Review

While looking out for awesome features relevant to DJs, Karaoke and so on, Virtual DJ Studio is just a most needed application, which literally redefines the perception of Karaoke as well as DJ on PCs. The application doesn’t just limit the user to two players with a Cross-Fader; it actually provides the user with an entire studio.

Virtual DJ Studio provides a handy mixer-board interface wherein every line offers all the functionalities of a typical mixer such as volume fader, mute, cross fader assignment, etc. What’s more each line additionally contains an MP3/WAV/Karaoke player, possessing all the expected controls including a Pitch/Tempo control.

In case the user has two or more sound cards/audio devices; it is possible to even route any line to the secondary device, for headphone preview or beat-matching. Alternatively, this feature may also be incorporated to simply allow more control with the external mixer.

It supports plenty of Karaoke format, and the application is really easy to use. The latest version even supports ZIP files that are renamed to KZ files, and just by renaming them there no need to worry about Windows slowing down while entering the Karaoke directory. Windows XP tends to analyze any ZIP file it encounters, which can be very slow in a directory containing thousands of ZIP files.
